I have a BandW under bed ball hitch mounted system on my 2012 Ram with a key to remove the ball hitch. Key hole is located 4inch to left of ball and 3inch to rear of ball. We want to use the companion hitch for RV hook-up. The fifth wheel companion part # is 14-2924 and mfg. # 3500. When we install this companion hitch will there be access to the key hole to remove the ball hitch.

The B&W Companion 5th wheel hitches that mount in their under-bed gooseneck installation kit are fixed-type hitch part # BWRVK3500 and slider-type hitch part # BWRVK3400. The bed length of your 2012 Ram will determine which hitch you need.
The gooseneck hitch/5th wheel install kit that fits the 2012 Ram 1500 with 8-foot bed is part # BWGNRK1309-5W. This will work perfectly with the Companion.
