Does the Valtera Heel Inlet with 3" Elbow have a Hub or a Lug Fitting?

Question:

Hello, Is the T1031 a 3 inch Hub or Lug fitting ? The Valterra website says Hub, but the image on their site and everyone elses shows lugs, the etrailers site says lug and hub in various different places. Can you clarify what the connections are to the T1031 fitting? Thank you

Great question! And the answer is "D: all of the above". The Valterra RV Sewer Heel Inlet with 3" Elbow, # T1031 has both a lug and a hub fitting. One end of the 3" elbow has a lug fitting which allows you to connect to the bayonet fitting on a sewer hose. The other end of the 3" elbow has a hub end with a rotating flange that will bolt onto the black water waste valve. And the 1-1/2" heel inlet is a hub with a rotating flange that bolts onto the gray-water waste valve. I've attached a photo of the different types of RV Sewer fitting connections for those who may not be familiar with the terminology.

You will need an ABS Solvent Cement like # A05-0303 to secure the hub fittings. You may also need a bayonet-style cap like # T1020CLRVP for the lug fitting when not in use.
