I am looking for ideas for transporting a Honda 7k generator on the back of my rv. I have a 2 inch receiver hitch. Thanks in advance.

We offer lots of hitch-mount cargo carriers and for use with a larger generator like the Honda 7000W (which has wheels) I suggest a ramped carrier. The Flint Hill Goods 30" x 50" Wheelchair Carrier w/ 48" Ramp - 2" Hitch # FHG77ZR offers interior dimensions 48 long x 28 wide x 5 tall. It also has a 500-lb capacity and includes an anti-rattle device. For an anti-rattle hitch lock use part # 63232.
You'll also need some type of tie-downs to secure the generator to the carrier. I suggest a set such as # IMF12637.
Be sure to check your RV hitch weight capacity rating to ensure it is enough for the combined weight of the generator itself plus that of the hitch carrier, which is 80-lbs for the # FHG77ZR.
