Stud Mount Size and Cable Length of the RVS-TAILGATE Camera
Updated 09/12/2017 | Published 09/02/2017 >
Question:
What is the screw length and diameter that this mounts with? Also how long is the small cable that comes out of the camera and goes to the extension cable? Is that first connector out from the camera one of those real narrow connectors about same diameter as the stud? The picture below is a different brand which I am trying to compare to. I need to know if the RVS one has a similar cable length from the camera and also a similar small connector at the end of that cable. I am not concerned with the larger connector later in the circuit. I need a certain cable length out of the camera going to a small thin connector that I can fish through an existing hole.

I reached out to my contact at Rear View Safety and was able to find out the measurements you requested of the # RVS-TAILGATE. The mounting screw diameter is 3/16 inch and the length is 1/2 inch. The cable is 13 inches long and connects to the 13 inch extension for a total of 26 inches. The connector does fit through the same mounting hole.
