Replacement Motor For Coach Electric Steps

Published 09/05/2017

Question:

Our coach steps would fail about every 25th cycle . I read if you gave it a slight tap on the motor it would start again. Your advise was to replace motor. I replaced the motor, now the steps failed 6 out of 12 times tested. What is next step? Thanks for your help.

The Coach Steps are made by Lippert Components. For your motor, you will need the Replacement Motor for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301695. This will replace the motor you mentioned but you will want to keep the 3 installation bolts from your old motor as they are not included with this replacement.

I reached out to my contact at Lippert and confirmed again that I got you the correct motor, and we are good to go there. They said the only other part in that system is the control module so the next step is to replace that with the Replacement Control Module for Lippert Electric Coach Step # LC301702. They confirmed we did the troubleshooting in the same order they would have, so this control module will give you both new components and your steps should work as good as new.
