Can Remote for Fantastic Fan 12-Volt Fan Stop Lid When Only Halfway Open

Question:

I have a Remote control, but it doesnt stop half way. Either the roof vent is all open or all closed. I want to get it half open with the fan running. The only I could stop the roof vent is by taking the fuse out when it is half was up. Is this all I can do or is it defective.

I spoke with my contact at Fantastic Vent regarding the remote # FV9068-09 for your 12 Volt Fan like # FV807350.

He stated that the motor on the powered lid is designed to stop only when it meets resistance, meaning that it will not stop until the fan is fully open or closed. Because of this, the remote (or other device) is not able to stop the lid when it is only halfway open.
