I just bought a 2017 Grand Design solitude 310 5th wheel. When measuring across the inside of the frame Im closer to 72 1/2 inches. Will this hitch still work?

I do have a trailer hitch receiver compatible with your 2017 Grand Design 5th Wheel Trailer, however, as the maximum length of the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13703 is 72" it will not work because the amount of space the crossbar has to sit in the brackets is not sufficient for proper use while the mounting brackets are spaced 72-1/2" apart.
Instead I recommend using the Ultra-Fab 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver for Trailer Frames part # UF35-946403 as this trailer hitch receiver also has a 2" receiver tube in addition to fitting an RV trailer with frame rails up to 77" apart. Unfortunately this trailer hitch receiver is not rated for towing applications and is the only trailer hitch receiver we have listed to fit a 72-1/2" wide trailer frame at this time.
