Question:

On Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for BandW Turnoverball Item# 16310. Is the load supported by the bed through the rails? Or is load supported by hitch through the square tubing? I have a bedliner on my 2012 ram. I want to know if it will still pin in. What sre the dimensions for the square tubing part?

On your 2012 Ram with bedliner, the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs # 16310 will work with most, however trimming may be necessary with some. The load of the 5th wheel hitch is carried by the bed of the truck as well as the underbed rails of your gooseneck hitch. The torque and turning is supported by the gooseneck rails and the square tubing.

The square tubing part of the hitch is 2-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inches. I've attached a photo of the hitch ball to assist with measurements as well as some measurements of the adapter.
