Is Install of Curt Hitch on 2016 Toyota Highlander Difficult
Updated 08/14/2017 | Published 08/13/2017 >
Question:
Do I have to be able to put the car up on a lift to be able to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2? Can I just installed in my driveway? Also I am a single mom with very limited experience with cars, would I be able to install this myself? I can follow the directions , but do I need special tools?

The install of the Curt hitch part # C13200 for your 2016 Toyota Highlander isn't too bad. If you check out the install video link I attached below you can see the entire process outlined. You don't have to use a jack to lift the rear of the vehicle in the air either. We use a lift to make filming the process easier is all.
You'll need a ratchet, a torque wrench, 10, 17, and 19 mm sockets, a 6 inch socket extension, a screw driver, something to trim the fascia with (dremel or rotary tool), and safety glasses.
