Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2017 Jeep Cherokee with Factory Tow Package

Question:
I am looking at purchasing a new 2017 Jeep Cherokee with the factory trailer tow package. The jeep dealer does not know if the new jeep will come with a factory installed socket to plug the brake controller into or not. It has a 4pin and 7pin connector next to hitch in back. Do you have any experience with 2017 Jeep Cherokees to know if jeep will factory install the wiring from the back connector to a plug under steering wheel?

If your new 2017 Jeep Cherokee came with a factory installed 4- and 7-Way trailer connector then it will have the factory tow package which will include the factory plug to plug in a brake controller. For Tekonsha brake controllers the wiring harnesses needed to plug in the controller is # 3014-P.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
