How to Install a Tonneau Cover Over a Factory Plastic Bed Liner on a 2000 Toyota Tundra

Question:
Looking for a roll up or tri-fold tonneau cover for my 2000 Toyota Tundra Access Cab. The box measures 6-3 inside and it has a factory in bed liner that extends up and over the bed rails. It would seem that the bed liner would not allow for inside the rail mounting. Is that correct? What type would you recommend?

I spoke with my contact at Extang and they were able to offer some insight as to what would be required to use a tonneau cover with your bed liner. The only way to install a tonneau cover while you have a bed liner in place would involve a bit of cutting or trimming.
I recommend using the Extang Trifecta 2.0 Soft Tonneau Cover part # EX92840 as this is a tri-fold bed cover that is a confirmed fit for your 2000 Toyota Tundra. In order to fit this cover to your vehicle, you will need to cut/trim two quarter sizes holes into each side of the bed liner to allow for the mounting brackets used in this kit to attach.
I have also attached a review video of this cover for you.
