Updated 08/08/2017 | Published 08/07/2017 >
Question:
Should this tire be at 80 psi which is the maximum cold psi or should it be a different psi? I am confused because my truck tires say 80 max psi cold also but the recommended psi is 65. Please help me understand.

A trailer tire should always be inflated to its maximum psi when the tire is cold. The maximum psi for a specific tire will be listed on the tire wall and may be different from manufacturer to manufacturer. Even on the same size tire. Occasionally you'll even see different recommendations on the same size with the same manufacturer.
If a trailer tire is over or under inflated the life and capacity of the tire can be compromised.
