Question:

I have two question: first I have a 30 ft. tracer air that came with 30inch jacks on all four corners as typical. the empty weight of the trailer is about 7400 lbs. I have managed to bend the front two jacks one from a mishap with the weight distribution hitch and the second from a tree stump where I bring the trailer into the yard. I am intending to replace both of them but need to know the proper weight rating to use. Question #2 depending on what angle i come at the back yard with, one of the front jacks have a tendency to plow a furrow in the neighbors grass when i come through his back yard. nice neighbor. I am considering making the front jacks removable and have a slide plate that would retain them when I am at a camp site along with the stabilizing arms that you also sell. are you aware of anyone that makes a receiver plate that would retain the top of the jack when in position. I can bolt them on and off but wondered is a simple bracket would have already been designed. I have several options including spring loading them to deflect from an obstruction. wing nuts for quick removal and replacement......but are you aware of anything already existing to do this. its seems to be a common hazard as many are on the second or so sets of jacks.

When it comes to jacks, even stabilizing jacks, the higher the capacity the better. It makes it easier on the jack that way. The scissor jacks we have with the most capacity are the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jacks - 30" Lift - 6,500 lbs - Qty 2 Item # UF48-979031. They are rated for 6,500 pounds each.

There isn't a quick on/off bracket for jacks like what you are describing so that would have to be fabricated. But you may want to reconsider because that set up would allow movement of a trailer/RV when parked negating the stabilizing effect.
