Electric Brakes That can be Used With a 4,000 lb Axle
Updated 07/31/2017 | Published 07/28/2017 >
Question:
I have a 2007 Keystone Sprinter. I am looking for electric brake parts. The name plate says it has 4000 lb. axles. When I use your search filters, it comes up with axles of higher ratings, lowest being 5200 lb. Could you give me your part number for complete brake replacement, both right and left side?

If you were using the search filters and only came up with the lowest axle rating of 5,200 lbs that probably means your drum or wheels are too big for the assemblies that we carry.
For any of our assemblies you would need to have a 4-bolt flange mounting pattern, drum size of 10" diameter x 2-1/4" wide and wheel sizes from 13" to 15". If so, you would be able to use electric brake assemblies for a 4,400 lb axle such as the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # K23-478-479. This would give you a little more stopping power but would work just fine.
