Recommended 4.80-12 Trailer Tire for Higher Speed Driving

Question:

I currently have 4.80x12 tires on my trailer. The tires need replaced and Im thinking about replacing the wheels also. I will be traveling with the trailer a lot with speeds in excess of 65 Mph. Is there a wider tire I can get without going over the 21 inch diameter. I read another QandA that said the Kendra 4.80x12 are only rated for 65MPH. Im looking for a higher speed rating without lifting the trailer up any higher. If thats not possible whats the speed rating for the 5x12 tires?

For higher-speed highway travel I suggest the 81-mph-rated Load Range C Tasksmaster tire # TTWSF48012C which is rated to carry 990-lbs at 90 psi.

Always run your trailer tires at the full psi pressure noted on the tire sidewall. It is never appropriate to under- or over-inflate a trailer tire as doing so reduces its load capacity and increases chances for heat-related failure.
