Updated 07/12/2017 | Published 07/11/2017

Question:

HI, I am completely redoing a vintage camper trailer and was wondering how I would go about wiring up the running/turn/etc lights up to the wiring harness? So I have wiring harness # A20WB and # RM-155-2 for tail lights And I have some clearance lights and an id marker...how would I go about wiring it all up together??? Any advice would be appreciated! THANKS!!!

To combine the 4-way wiring harness # A20WB with the bulb and socket kit # RM-155-2 it's really just a matter of connecting wires.

On the wiring harness you want to ground the white wire to your trailer's frame. Somewhere that is clean and bare metal. The same with the black wires from each of the bulb and socket lights. If the clearance lights and ID marker light have ground wires then they'll also need to be grounded. If they don't have a ground wire then the lights ground through the mounting hardware.

Then connect the brown wires on the harness to the brown wires on the bulb and socket kit and these will power your trailer's running lights. You will also want to connect the power wire of the clearance lights to this same circuit.

Then run the yellow wire from the harness to the left side of the trailer and connect it to the bulb and socket on that side's red wire. The green wire from the harness will connect to the same red wire on the bulb and socket on the right side of the trailer. This will power the brake lights and each turn signal.
