How Long is the Stinger on a Thule Helium Aero Bike Rack

is this the redesigned rack with the shorter stinger aka: clearance? it appears to be from the photos online.

The Thule Helium Aero bike rack # TH9042PRO has a measurement of 8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack.
In order to determine if you have enough clearance for a bike rack you should measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on your 2010 Volkswagen Golf and measure out to the furthest point on the bumper to see how long of shank on a bike rack you would need.
