The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56165 is indeed the wiring harness that is designed for your 2011 Toyota RAV4.
This harness plugs into the vehicle wiring located behind the driver and passenger side The rear trim and scuff panels will need to be removed. You will also need to run the hot lead wire to the positive battery post. I have attached a link to an installation video for this harness you can check out.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
