How Does 2 inch Hitch Adapter of Curt Cargo Carrier C18145 Install

Question:
Just finished watching the video about the c18145 cargo carrier and I dont understand how it was converted to be used in a 2 when it is actually 1 1l4. I saw them a long threaded bolt apparently thru the adapter and 1 1/4 tube. What size is the bolt as it seems smaller on one end thus how could it be used in the holes in the 2 tube? I saw it but just dont understand. Please explain. Thanks

Hey Donald, the 2 inch hitch adapter of the Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18145 basically just pressed onto the shank of the carrier. I am not sure what video you watched but you can see Randy install the adapter in a very clear and easy to understand way in the video I attached down below around the 1:30 mark.
