Bolt Hole Spacing Difference Between Fulton Couplers F233000301 and # F223000301

Question:
Can you tell me the distance from the centerline of the side holes to the inside top surface of the coupler. I have an old version of this coupler same model # which measures 3/4inch for that dimension, and I want to make sure it is the same. You sell another Fulton coupler F223000301 whose technical specs match this 233000301, but in the QandA for that coupler someone asked this same question and you measured 1inch for that dimension. Can you tell me the difference between these 2 Fulton couplers? Also, what is the exact channel width of these couplers? I found a Reese Towpower 74280 locally which looks identical to these, but the vertical spacing from the side hole center to inside top is 1inch and the channel spacing is 3 1/8inch so Id need to add a 1/8inch spacer to fit my channel which is exactly 3. Are the addition of spacers acceptable?

The difference between the two is the bolt hole distance relative to the top of the coupler. The part # F223000301 is 1 inch from the top of the coupler to the ball hole whereas the part # F233000301 has a distance of 3/4 inch like what you are in need of.
These are both designed to fit channel that is 3 inches wide.
