You want your fifth wheel trailer to be as level as possible but still giving you about 6 inches between underside of the trailer and the truck's bed rails to avoid the two from coming into contact.

Mainly the difference is the Lippert 1116 is considered a medium length pin box and the 1621 is considered a long one. It's not by much but the 1621 stick out about 3 inches further.
