10 inch Long Keel Roller Recommendation for Rear of Boat Trailer
Published 05/26/2017 >
Question:
Need some information on a complete keel roller assembly ! Planning on adding one or more to my trailer. How do I decide what size works the best? How do I install them? U-bolts ? How do I figure how much to come above trailer rail? At this time I dont have very much clearance on one of the rails, when I load or launch at times the keel is rubbing the trailer Im thinking maybe when the carpet is wet and the wood is wet its giving just enough for the keel to rub. This is Custom built High end Boat and trailer. Thanks again!

A very popular option would be the CE Smith Deep V Keel Roller part # CE10404G which would work well. But I really would need to see a picture of your trailer to get specific on how it would install.
The hardware isn't included but U-bolts would work. They would need to be 1/2 or 7/16 inch in diameter. The length of the mounting slots is 5 inch so as long as your frame member is less than 5 inches tall this will work.
