RPod 2016 Tire Recommendation for 225/75-15
Updated 05/24/2017 | Published 05/23/2017 >
Question:
Want to upgrade C rated 235 75R15 to D/E rated. E may be overkill but hearing great things about GY Endurance...Jayco now using as stock. Want o stay with similar tire spec-size preferred have to go with E as its 225 vs 205 D. Maxxis alternative has same tire size/rating. Not much other choices...Provider? Want minimum D, safer tires. Mostly road vs off -road. Unsure about appropriate psi. Id say fully loaded trailer approx 3200-3500. Also...Cant find info if the stock 15inch rims even have the load capacity I need...or want. Load capacity on tires dont matter if wheel capacity is less? Would REALLY appreciate your advice!

Best option for a trailer tire is going to be a radial tire size ST225/75-15 by Lionshead part # LHWL304.
This tire has a higher speed rating at 75 mph, is a Load Range E, and has a 2 year roadside assistance program that is really nice.
This tire comes with complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your RV or trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change the flat for you. You can call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year from anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico.
You need to keep these at 80 psi at all times to get the full weight capacity of 2,830 lbs.
