The only company that has a base plate kit available for the 2010 Mazda 5 is Blue Ox. The Base plate kit needed is the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms, item # BX2525.
For a tow bar that utilizes a hitch ball, the Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar, item # BX4330, would be a good choice. Safety cables are included with this tow bar.
Wiring for flat towing is accomplished with diodes that prevent feed back of the tow vehicle lighting power onto the towed vehicle. The Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit, item # RM-154, will work great on your Mazda 5. We have a video and detailed instructions online, see link, for you to review.
The information I was able to find shows that for the 2010 Mazda 5, the Manual Transmission towable as is and that the Automatic transmission is to be towed on a tow dolly only. You should confirm the towability and pre-tow procedures for your vehicle with your owners manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer for towing instructions.
