Question:
I have a question about the Timren Axle-Less suspension: I am interested in using this to refurbish the suspension/axles of my boat trailer. It is a tandem axle, hydraulic drum brakes, rated for 9,600 lbs. Would item TASR5200S03 be the right product Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4 Inch Lift Spindle w/ Brake Flange # TASR5200S03 referenced in your question will work great to replace the existing axle on your boat trailer. It can be used in a tandem axle setup (you will just need to order 2), and is compatible with hydraulic drum brakes. This has a weight capacity of 5,200 pounds, so when using two sets as a tandem axle, they will provide the capacity needed for your trailer.
For compatible hub and drum assemblies, I recommend the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum # 8-201-5UC3-EZ. This assembly will include the # 25580 inner bearing, # LM67048 outer bearing and the grease seal, cap, wheel bolts and lugs.
Then for hydraulic drum brakes, I recommend the Dexter # 23-324 for Left Hand and # 23-325 for Right Hand.
