Question:
We have a 2017 GMC Sierra Crew Cab and we want to tow it behind our Class A Motorhome, Winnebago Tour. We have looked at the Blue Ox Advantis tow bar and the Blue Ox base plate with removable arms. We know we need the auxiliary braking system and want to know if this system will work for us in stopping the vehicle? Your help will be really appreciated.

The Blue Ox AutoStop is compatible with the Aladdin to bar. However, we don't recommend the AutoStop for you. It's not near as reliable for braking as other systems.
Portable systems, like the SM99251, are the easiest to install supplemental braking systems we carry. To install it you'll need a 12 volt outlet kit # RM-9332 in your truck. You'll also need the Brake-Lite Relay # RM-88400 to keep the truck's lights from overriding the Winnebago's.
To power the truck's lights I recommend the diode kit # RM-15267. This includes everything you need for the lights including the cord to run between the RV and truck. To tow the Sierra the battery will be disconnected if the truck is equipped with adjustable pedals. According to a tech bulletin from GM you must disconnect the negative side of the battery. To make the disconnecting process as easy as flipping switch you can use the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766.
Blue Ox discontinued the correct part for your Sierra. As an alternative I recommend the Demco Tabless Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # DM9519330 and then using the Demco Dominator # DM9511008 which includes safety cables.
Finally, you'll likely need a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to help you determine the correct rise or drop your setup requires. I've also linked our selection of adapters for you to look at once you know what you need.
In addition to my recommendations I've linked some articles on flat towing that you may find helpful.
