Troubleshooting 7-way Trailer Connection Running Lights On 1997 Ford F250 Powerstroke Diesel

Question:
Running lights pin has no power on 7-pin hookup. All other wiring operational to trailer. Is this a bad fuse in the power distribution box or one of the relays causing it?

Expert Reply:
Your running lights not working on your trailer when everything else works is most likely a bad fuse especially because you know the 7-way on your truck has no power at the connection. According to the picture you attached, you will need to check fuses C, D, and E. If none of those fuses are blown, I recommend getting a circuit tester like # PTW2993 and probing the running light wire to find the short between the 7-way and the fuse box. You may want to use a test jump wire before going to all that trouble and then replace the wire as needed.
