Question:

our lippert ground control 3.0 has the error message on the touch pad comm error. We read the troubleshooting and tried replacing the harness and still have the error. We them replaced the touch pad and still have the error. We previously installed a new interstate deep cycle battery and all the connections are clean. This is on a 2 year old Grand Design Solitude. Please help.

I reached out to my tech contact at Lippert and they said you have replaced 2 of the 3 communicating pieces on your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC358590, so you've isolated the issue. The part you now need is the Replacement Control Module for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System # LC304136. This is the only communicating part left, so will solve your error by process of elimination according to their tech.

One thought on the deep cell battery. You can connect a standard battery first to determine if the deep cell battery is the cause of an error although we don't think that will be the issue. Worth checking first though.
