The trailer wiring is not included with a trailer hitch for your 2004 PT Cruiser. We do offer them separately.
There is no drilling required for the installation of the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11132. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch on a PT Cruiser you can check out. As the video shows, the trailer hitch uses the tow hook mounting locations on the vehicle frame after they have been removed.
The recommended ball mount is part # C45521 and the pin and clip is # F-4.
For a hitch ball I recommend part # C40018 for a 2-inch ball and part # C40001 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
For trailer wiring I recommend part # C55532. This harness just plugs into the wiring behind the taillights and you then need to run a hot lead wire to the positive battery post. I have attached a link to an installation video for this harness. The taillights will need to be removed to attach the harness.
