Question:
What is the difference between the RM-524454-4 and the RM 524444-5 for 2017 Ford Edge SE?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-524454-4 is a very similar system to the EZ5 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-524444-5 which are both a confirmed fit for 2015-2017 Ford Edge SE and SEL models. The difference is the EZ5 has the streamlined design that removes the need for the quick-disconnect crossbar. This baseplate will not work with the Sterling Cables, so the cables need to be attached to the frame of the vehicle.
The EZ5 although much cleaner and more hidden will not work with the Guardian rock shield # RM-4000, Tow Defender # RM-4750, Stowaway # RM-4000-40, or stowmaster tow bars like # RM-501.
