Question:

I need to improve the sway in my 2016 Winnebago Sightseer 33c. I’ve installed Sumo Springs up front and the road master exact center steering stabilizer. Looking at installing a front sway bar. The unit has a rear sway bar but I’m not sure if replacing that or installing helper springs in the rear would be better bang for my buck. Thoughts? Thank you.

Hey Michael, welcome back. I would check the diameter of your factory sway bar. If it's less than 1-3/4", upgrading to the Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar item # HE93RR would be a great option. A thicker sway bar is going to reduce body roll and tighten up your rear suspension.

The SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs item # SSR-180-54-1 are also going to help with body roll and addressing that top heavy feeling. The main advantage of installing these is going to be cushioning when you go over bumps or transitions on the highway.

I recommend installing the SumoSprings Maxim Custom Helper Springs item # SSR-180-54-1 and seeing how your ride improves with your factory sway bar. If you still need help with sway, and your factory bar is thinner, you can add the Hellwig Rear Anti-Sway Bar item # HE93RR.

How thick is your factory sway bar?

Jered, Thank you for the information. The current rear sway bar is 1 1/2" diameter. I can do the helper springs first and then see if I need to replace the sway bar.
