Can Center Bolt Be Ran from the Bottom Up on Trailer Leaf Spring # SP-113275
Updated 05/02/2017 | Published 04/30/2017 >
Question:
Can the center bolt that holds the 3 leaf springs together be turned over? The current leaf springs on my trailer have the bolt threaded up from the bottom in order to fit on the trailer axle.

Yes, if you look closely at some of the pictures you can see the center bolt for leaf spring # SP-113275 goes through the stack and into a nut on the bottom. So in other words it can be reversed. Please note it would be a good idea to secure the spring using vises or clamps in order to keep the spring stack in position and so no residual tension can cause a leaf to possibly cause an injury. Do not work on springs when they are under load (still on the trailer).
