Question:
4 years ago replaced my boat trailer actuator with a new Titan 20 disc brake model, and replaced the disc brakes also. Work completed by a trailer repair establishment. Since that work completed the solenoid 4748800 has malfunctioned after 6-9 months trailer use and has to be replaced, always goes out when on trip and cant back up trailer. Any ideas why need such frequent replacement?

The first thing that comes to mind about the Replacement Solenoid # T4748800 needing to be replaced so often is that it could very well be a short in the wiring.
I recommend checking the wiring on your trailer and your tow vehicle. You will want to check to see if there are any places that are corroded, have bent wires, or exposed wiring. If you find a place that looks like the wiring needs to be replaced, you can use 12 Gauge Wire, part # 12-1-1, and some Butt Connectors, part # DW05745-5, to do so.
If that doesn't work, or you can't find any places where the wiring looks like it needs to be replaced, just let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.
