Will Curt RV Hitch 13703 Fit a Jayco X19H and a Tow Tuff Steel Cargo Carrier/Bike Rack

Question:

We have a Jayco X19H 2015 and would like to put Tow Tuff TTF-2762KR Steel Cargo Carrier on the back using part number 13703 for out families bikes. Will this work?

There are a couple of things to consider. First, since you are using the cargo carrier as a bike rack you should know that only certain bike racks are rated for use on the back of an RV or trailer. I could not determine if the Tow Tuff carrier is rated for this application but if I had to venture a guess based on design I would say that it isn't.

Trailer hitch # 13703 does not have a specific trailer/RV fit list but it is the most versatile option. It fits box frames, I-Beam frames, and C-Channel frames and it can be bolted or welded on (welding should only be done by a qualified professional welder). And it fits frame widths from 22 to 72 inches wide (measured from the outside of one frame rail to the outside of the other).

Curt also states that to use the hitch with a cargo carrier or bike rack you will also need to use stabilization strap # 18050 per their warranty requirements.

And for an RV/trailer approved rack for 4 bikes we have several options such as the the Swagman Original # S64400 or the Trailhead # S63381.
