Distance Bracket Sticks Out on Brophy Scissor Steps

Question:
How far does the mounting bracket stick out from the bumper? I would like a set of 5steps to mount to the back of a enduramax gladiator toyhauler. There is a lift gate on the back and want to make sure it will clear the bracket when being raised and lowered

On the Brophy Scissor Steps # AS04 there is about 7 to 7-1/2 inches when the steps are at their highest point from the bracket to the closest edge of the top step.
The mounting bracket itself does not stick out at all.
