Larger Radial Trailer Wheel and Tire with 4 Bolt Pattern than 4.80-8 Size

Question:
Can I, and is there, any benefits to placing a larger tire on a Haulin Ass 8x4 utility trailer that I have which currently carries the 4.80-8 tire on a 4 lug wheel? And, can I find a radial for that rim? thanks

Expert Reply:
We do offer wheels and tire that are going to be larger in diameter than the tire size 4.80-8 you have on your trailer but how big you can go will depend on how much clearance you have.
Your current size is 16.1 inches tall. To go to a radial tire would require you to go to a 12 inch diameter wheel like the part # AM35351DX which has a diameter of 21.3 inches.
