Are the 8-inch safety cables extensions 8 inches without the coupler.

The RaodMaster 8 inch Safety Cable Extensions # RM-910648-8 are 8 inches without the Quick Links attached. The Quick Links are about 3-3/16 inches from outside edge to outside edge so altogether the setup is around 11 inches in length.
