The rubber air spring inside a cushioned pin box like the TrailAir could require addition of air pressure each time you hitch if a long period of time has elapsed between trips or if the trailer has been loaded with more weight (or weight placed in a different location within it) than it usually has.
If you tow the 5th wheel and park it for two days, without altering the cargo weight, then you should not need to refill the air spring. If the spring clearly loses air pressure at a recognizable rate than you may need to replace the Schrader valve in the bag, or the entire air spring. We offer Valve # LC156740.
Note that a bag that does not leak at all could still require pressure to be topped off as you move between climate zones. If you tow 500 miles in a day it is easily possible to be in a temperature zone that differs enough to require pressure adjustment.
The key to using a TrailAir is to keep the pressure at the point required for the correct position of the arrow indicator on the shock (at the front of the pin box).
