Will Curt Weight Distribution Shank Work with Equal-I-Zer Weight Distribution System
Updated 04/03/2017 | Published 04/01/2017 >
Question:
I have a Equal-i-zer Integrated 4-Point sway control hitch, model# 90-00-1000, tongue weight 1k, max trailer weight 10k. This is hooked to a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. I am towing a 2017 Keystone Cougar Half-ton 21rbswe. I cannot lower the tailgate when connected. Will the #C17122 fit my hitch to move the truck farther away from the camper to solve this problem?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Yes, you can use Curt weight distribution shank # C17122 with your Equal-I-zer system to get the additional length needed for you to be able to lower the tailgate on your 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. The Equal-I-zer head uses 3/4 inch diameter bolts to hold it to the shank and the shank holes need to be spaced 1-1/4 inches apart on center. This is exactly what the Curt shank has. I have linked a video of it for you.
