Recommended Bike Rack to Carry 2 Bikes on the Front of a Truck with a Truck Camper

Question:

I am looking for the best way to carry two bikes when using my truck camper. I have a two inch reciever on the front of the truck. If I put the rack on the front I want one that sits as low as possiable so I am not looking threw bikes when driving. I have a mens and womens full size bike.

Since one of your bikes is a women's bike I would stick with a platform rack so you won't need a bike frame adapter bar. The Swagman # S64663 is a great option because it doesn't have a rise on the shank which will lower the profile of the bikes. I've attached a picture of a customer who uses this bike on the front of a Ford F-150. You can see the bikes over the hood while driving but it's fairly minimal.

I would check with your local DOT to determine if there are any restrictions on bike racks on the front of your vehicle. Your headlights may not function as well at night and your front plate will be less visible. You'll also be restricting the airflow into your truck.
