Best Place to Drill or Run Wiring Through the Firewall on a 2014 Jeep Cherokee

Where is the best place to drill/run wire thru the firewall of a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk? Planning on using 4 ga.

The ideal thing to do when adding wiring to any vehicle would be to use existing holes already made in the firewall. If you do not have any existing holes then you will want to drill in a place that is close to where you are needing to run the wire. Be sure to check the other side of the firewall before drilling so that you do not drill into anything on the other side. Make sure to run the wiring away from where feet could get caught or wrapped around the wiring.
If you do have to drill then I recommend putting a Grommet # A11GB so help keep the wiring from possibly getting damaged against the exposed metal. You will also want to use a sealant like part # 0160297 to seal up the hole.
