Question:
I have a new old 1988 chevy truck 4x4 short bed truck with a step bumper. Truck need a a hitch and I plan to move a 5700 lb boat 2 streets over to community boat ramp. Looking to not invest more than truck worth but need a good easy hitch. Looked at this one and drawtite 41525. Any advice? Thanks

Our lowest price hitch that is a confirmed fit for your 1988 Chevy truck is the Curt part # 13028 which would work well for you. It has a 6,000 lb total trailer weight capacity though so as long as that 5,700 lb figure includes the trailer you would be good.
Otherwise you would have to go with a higher rated hitch like the Draw Tite part # 41901 which is also a confirmed fit.
