I have a 2003 Ford E350 extended van. It has a 4 way trailer plug, I need to install a 7 way. ***There are no other electrical circuits, the trailer fusebox section is d - no contacts or fuses. and the trailer pins on the main electrical body/engine connector are blank. There is no other pigtail anywhere on the frame rails*** What is the easiest way to install an electronic brake controller?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since you already have a 4-way trailer connector at the rear of your 2003 Ford E-350 use our # ETBC7 kit to convert it to a 7-way. Everything you need is included except for the brake controller itself.
Is the 4-way a factory connector? If so, there will be another connector under the dashboard to plug in a brake controller. If you have that connector then you can plug in an adatper, part # 3035-P, with a Tekonsha controller, like the Prodigy P3 # 90195. You still need to run a wire from that connector to the new 7-way you installed for the brake output but the controller's stop light switch and 12 volt power connections are already made. If you don't have a connector under your dash then the 4-way is aftermarket and you need to make all of the connections and hardwire in the controller instead of using the # 3035-P adapter.
