The Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Rooftop Cargo Carrier, # Y95AV, will fit on a vehicle with a crossbar spread between 24 to 36 inches and a maximum crossbar dimensions 3-1/2 x 1-11/16 inches.
You will need to check your crossbar spread and the roof line clearance on your 2006 Toyota Prius before you can decide on which cargo carrier you can use on your car.
To measure crossbar length you will need to measure from center to center of your crossbars. I have attached a picture that will show you how to find the front roof line clearance on your Prius. This measurement will tell you if you will have enough room to install a carrier and be able to open the rear hatch with cargo carrier. Yow will want to measure from the center of the front crossbar to the edge of your hatch door at the back of the car. If the measure is 47 inches or more, then the SkyBox NX 16 will work for you.
