Does Demco Hijacker AutoSlide Fifth Wheel Hitch Require Capture Plate to Connect to Pin Box

If I install this 5th wheel hitch DM8550034 in my Ram 1500 64inch box I wont need to purchase a capture plate will I ? This 5th wheel can be adjusted to accommodate most any pin box? Am I saying this correctly?

You are correct. With the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034 that you referenced you would not need to buy an adapter to connect the head of the hitch to the pin box of your trailer like what the PullRite hitches require.
The rail kit you would want is the part # DM8552030-71 which is a custom fit rail kit for your 2014 Ram 1500 which means it will minimize drilling to install and will cut install time in about half when compared to a universal kit.
