Demco Hijacker Autoslide Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch with Air Cushioned Pin Boxes
Question:
Does the hitch slide when you are backing up, say into a parking spot ? After watching your video on the hitch which is very well done and very informative ......you said that you do need a different catch plate with a Moryde pin box ? Does this mean that I could not hook up to a different trailer with a different pin box unless they had the same set up as mine ? 2004 Dodge 3500 SRW 4X4 short bed Thank you

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550034 is a sliding fifth wheel trailer hitch which you may need with a 6 foot bed. The advantage of the Hijacker over most hitches is that it slides automatically when turning so you don't need to get out of your truck and manually activate the sliding feature.
To install the Hijacker in your 2004 Dodge Ram use the install kit # DM8552015-71.
The Demco is fine to tow trailers that has a standard pin however you will need a different locking plate if the trailer has an air cushioned pin box, such as the MOR-ryde you mentioned. We have five locking plates for specific pin boxes:
MOR/ryde # DM6025
Standard Size 5th Airborne # DM6026
Extended 5th Airborne # DM6062
Demco Glide Ride # DM6036
Trailair Tri-Glide # DM6095
