Can Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit be Used on Rear Wheels Only and on Side-Loaded ATV

Question:

I have a 16 foot trailer with a polaris ranger 900 loaded on back of trailer straight in. In front of the ranger i have a sportsman that is side loaded. For the ranger only use these on rear wheels and dont have to worry about front moving at all? And then would they work on the front side loaded wheeler or would a different system need to be used? FYI this product Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit w/ Ratchet Straps and Wheel Chocks - 1,500 lbs

Yes, you can use Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM09160 on the rear wheels only, front wheels only, one front and one rear if you wanted on your Polaris Ranger. You can also use them on the side-loaded Sportsman provided there is somewhere to mount them.

It sounds like you have a lot of weight forward on the trailer and that could make the tongue weight greater than 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight. If that is the case, you can move both vehicles back on the trailer some to reduce the tongue weight. If you are unsure of the tongue weight you can use a tongue weight scale such as # e99044 or use a fancy ball with a tongue weight scale built in such as # WSUN-1.
