Are There Dimensions Required for Use when Installing the Polar Cam Action Door Lock # PLR258-002

Question:
What should be the proper spacing from the pipe to the part that the cam fits into at each of the ends? I am not using the system on a trailer, but on a heavy wood door and wish to compress a weather strip to seal the door.

When you install the Polar Heavy Duty Cam Action Door Lock # PLR258-002 You basically will want to mock it up on the trailer in the position you need it and then mark those locations so that when you permanently mount everything it all fits together well. If you are asking about the appropriate distance between the cams at the bottom of the pole and the pipe mounting brackets that really just depends on the setup. There isn't an exact distance required there. But I would try to get it as close to the bottom as you can depending on the door.
