Question:
I have a 2014 Grand Design Reflection 337 that currently has 4-leaf 6000lb springs. The driver side of the trailer is about 1000lbs heavier than the passenger side which gives it a slight lean when traveling down the road. I am going to replace the leafs but trying to decide 6 or 5 leafs. I measure eye-to-eye with weight on the suspension and it is 26.25. Another option is 7000lb springs on the drivers side and 6000lb springs on the passenger side. Thoughts? Also, I currently have LCI Equiflex on my 2014 Grand Design Reflection 337. I have almost 20K miles on the suspension and looking to replace components. In your opinion, is the E-Z Flex better?

To replace the 6,000lb leaf springs on your 2014 Grand Design 337, a great option is the Double-Eye 5-Leaf Springs, # e34SR. These are 25-1/4 inches long, so to confirm they will fit your trailer, it is best to try and measure your current, unloaded leaf springs to assure proper replacement length. Typically, the number of leaves on a suspension system will not have an affect on the setup, especially when looking at leaf springs within the same weight capacity. The difference in the amount of leaf springs usually just indicates the number it takes for a particular length leaf spring to reach the listed capacity. It is not recommended to install different capacity leaf springs for each sides of a trailer. Simply replacing your worn leaf springs should improve the referenced lean you are experiencing.
The Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers, such as the 6K # LC279688 are very similar to the E-Z Flex parts. To be honest, if you currently have the Equa-Flex and have had no issues with them, it will be easiest to simply replace them with the same components. I have attached a video demonstration of these equalizers for your review.
