Weight of Brophy 1-1/4 to 2 Inch Hitch Adapter # HT5R

Question:
What is the actual weight of this adapter? Shipping weight says 5 lbs. whereas the Maxxtow MT70355 says 11lbs. Is is really 6 lbs. lighter?

The weight of Brophy adapter # HT5R does weigh approximately 5 pounds. The MaxxTow adapter MT70355 (discontinued) had a bit more steel, longer shank, and a collar around the receiver opening so it is actually closer to 8 or 9 pounds minus packaging. Please note that the Brophy model works with Class I and II hitches whereas the MaxxTow model only works with Class II hitches.
